interior design was a field of work i often thought i would end up in during my younger years of existence. however, the unlikelihood of this profession becoming mine quickly dawned upon me during my adolescence... i still love decorating all the same, just not to the extent as what once was.

fast forward past hannah montanah posters and stacks of well organised stacks of frankie magazines, i find myself with four tabs open. pinterest, google sheets, urban outfitters, and this. Perhaps i am turning this minuscule project into a blog series because it will be a driving force to make me actually follow through with something, one thing, in my life. or perhaps i am doing it so that i not only fail on a personal level, but a public forefront alongside it. nonetheless, welcome to the bedroom series- extremely inventive and original name i know.

although we have been living in our current house for quite sometime, the bedroom situation had not been exactly set in stone for quite some time. now that issue has been resolved,i am in the smallest bedroom in the house with three shades of blue encapsulating it. don't get me wrong,i as so grateful for everything i have, but now, i think i am finally ready to commit myself to this cosy room, and make it mine... following?

that decision sparked the birth of the bedroom budget, a grand total of $600,because being not far off my P's, the savings for a car are ALREADY not stacking up that high...and who doesn't love a challenge right??? that's where my sheets tab has come into play, not yet holding any information, but very prepared for the meticulous budgeting that will soon fill it. and no,i have never budgeted in my life, and you're coming along for the journey... lucky you.

next came pinterest, and the search for my perfect bedroom aesthetic. i knew what i liked, and didn't like, but i couldn't quite pin my exact *style* name. Mr. Kate, and her quiz suggested bohemian, which was a style i already knew i adored, which lead to a deeper inspection of the roots of the boho tree of aesthetic. not long after, it was decided upon. my theme or aesthetic or style is...

minimalistic bohemian.

so in the beginning, there was darkness. literally, a new light fixture is quite high on my list of NEEDS i have compiled for my bedroom...

me, my laptop and $600 to burn. buckle up,because this sure is going to be one hell of an under experienced, zero industry training, hormonal indecisive teen ride.
